
Human Rights Journalist
Génesis Dávila is a human rights journalist specializing in Latinx communities. Her skills include video, data, and investigative journalism.
In her native Puerto Rico, she works with the independent media outlet Todas, covering topics related to femicides, gender, and women’s rights. As a freelance journalist, her work has been published in the Centro de Periodismo Investigativo, Primera Hora, and El Nuevo Día.
She holds two master’s degrees: one from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York and another from the University of Puerto Rico. During her time in New York, she interned with NBC’s Investigative Unit.
Génesis earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Acting, and Human Rights from the University of Puerto Rico. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
